Built on the ideas of where you find home in new places. This sculpture’s foundational forms are routed in the lines you find on a topographic map. After drawing out these topographic lines I built up from them to create a piece centered in place but also explorative and plays with intuition. I used the maps from the Wheeler Peak wilderness area. One of the first places I was drawn to and able to create a space for play.
