Imagined Bones

What started as studies and fascination for the forms of bones became a project based on intuition and the movement of my own hands. I started by creating realistic studies of real bones and then slowly started to combine different studies. But after creating many bone forms I started to notice the way my hands carried memory. Moving away from the realistic studies I let myself trust the memory within my hands and created this series of imagined bones allowing for intuition to come through the clay.

Spinal Tensions

Inspired by human movement and the way that our bones can hold us up but also create tensions.
